What to Expect

Pets are welcome; however, for the safety and comfort of all guests and local wildlife, we require that they remain leashed and that owners promptly clean up after them.

It is a short boat trip across the bay to reach the campsites. Guests are encouraged to bring their own boat. If you prefer not to use your own boat, we can provide transportation to and from your campsite via motorboat. All sites are equipped with docks for convenient mooring.

Our tents do not have heating or air conditioning. 

Dress accordingly as Minnesota weather can be unpredictable. Nights are often cool, even in the summer months, so it is highly recommended to bring warmer layers and essential rain gear.

We provide environmentally friendly sawdust compost toilets, which are thoroughly cleaned and refreshed with new sawdust and toilet paper for each new arrival. The waste is professionally managed and disposed of by a permitted company to protect the local environment.

Please note that showers are not available at the campsites.

Our campsites are designed to provide a genuine, back-to-nature camping experience and are primitive, meaning they do not include standard amenities found at home such as electricity. We supply solar lighting to assist at night.

You can avoid company by never leaving food, trash, or other scented prodects inside your tent. Never leave food unattended. Put all trash in the lockable trash cans provided.
